This is initially a fixed term contract (10-12 Months), but if they are successful in their bid it could turn into a permanent role for the right person.
The Role
This is a full-time position, ideally you would be based in Brisbane or Melbourne, but we would consider remote working for the right candidate.
- Contribute to tender development and bid submissions, including programme design, implementation plans, risk management and compliance
- Ensure compliance with government contract requirements, safeguarding policies, humanitarian standards and reporting obligations
- Provide strategic advice to the bid team on humanitarian operations, community engagement, regional context, and emerging risks
- Our ideal candidate would have exceptional commercial acumen
- Significant experience managing humanitarian, development, or social services programmes
- Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading successful tender bids for large or complex service contracts
- Strong knowledge of humanitarian principles, safeguarding, accountability frameworks, and compliance requirements
- Experience working in the Pacific Islands or similar regions
- Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and performance metrics
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
- Great leadership skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Must hold rights to work in Australia
