Paul is the hands-on Managing Director of Jigsaw Staffing, bringing over 20 years of recruitment industry experience across the UK, New Zealand, and international markets.

Originally from the UK, Paul began his career as a specialist Engineering and Technical recruiter before progressing into senior leadership roles, including Branch Manager for a large national recruitment business supplying staff into the Food, Manufacturing, FMCG, and Warehouse & Logistics sectors.

In 2011, Paul emigrated to Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty and joined Tradestaff. Over the following 13 years, he held a range of senior leadership positions, including Manager of Tradestaff’s high-performing Tauranga branch, Area Manager based in Auckland, and ultimately General Manager of Tradestaff Global.

Paul was instrumental in establishing Tradestaff Global in 2012. As part of the wider Tradestaff Group, Tradestaff Global specialises in deploying New Zealand expat workers to complex, remote projects around the world. Under Paul’s leadership, the business successfully placed thousands of Kiwi expat workers across 18 countries.

Notable projects Paul was involved in include:

• The construction of McMurdo Station in Antarctica as part of the US Antarctic Program’s Antarctic Infrastructure Modernization for Science initiative

• Major mining projects across Australia and the Pacific

• Solar power projects in Fiji, Tuvalu, and Kiribati

• Oil and gas projects in Papua New Guinea

• Large-scale construction and infrastructure projects worldwide

• Engineering and energy projects throughout the Pacific

• Facilities management and maintenance programmes in remote locations

Working across some of the world’s most challenging environments has given Paul a deep understanding of how critical it is to get the right hire the first time. He is known for raising standards and providing clients with clear, practical, and no-nonsense advice when it comes to securing high-quality, reliable staff.

In 2024, Paul stepped down from his role as General Manager of Tradestaff Global to launch Jigsaw Staffing in partnership with Tradestaff—bringing his global experience, leadership, and recruitment expertise to a focused, specialist recruitment business.
