Our client, a well-established construction firm specialising in Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater is looking for an experienced estimator to join their team.

The Role

This is a full-time position Mon-Fri
  • Securing new business through tenders and the negotiation of works with existing clients
  • Pricing jobs in the $1m-100m range
  • Managing the bid process from start to finish
  • Bid writing
  • Procurement and subcontractor management
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Working with the operational teams to ensure smooth handover and execution of projects
  • Quality Assurance
  • You will deal with a variety of projects but predominately in the Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater sectors

What we are looking for
  • Our Ideal candidate would have experience of Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater projects
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience of pricing projects up to $100M
  • Great commercial and financial acumen
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Fantastic IT Skills, mainly Microsoft Suite
  • Must have great technical knowledge of civil engineering projects
  • Must be great at building and managing relationships both internal and external
  • Must be presentable and be able to deal with customers.
  • Good knowledge of H&S
  • A tertiary Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying would be advantageous
  • Project management experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Must hold rights to work in NZ.
