Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of their warehouse operation. This is a leadership role for a small team where you'll have the autonomy to improve systems, lead a dedicated team, and ensure customers receive the right products, on time, every time. You will also need to be hands on and assist with warehouse operations as required.

The Role

As Warehouse Manager you'll be responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse, ensuring operations run safely, efficiently and accurately.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the warehouse
  • Managing and mentoring the warehouse team
  • Improving warehouse layout, stock flow and picking efficiency
  • Driving order accuracy through quality systems and process improvements
  • Managing inventory, stock control and cycle counting using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Overseeing inbound and outbound freight operations
  • Coordinating forklift servicing and warehouse equipment maintenance
  • Recruiting, onboarding and training warehouse staff
  • Maintaining high Health & Safety standards
  • Supporting MPI Transitional Facility compliance and audit requirements
  • Working closely with senior management to continually improve warehouse performance
What we are looking for
  • Proven experience managing a warehouse operation
  • Willingness to be a hands on leader and get your hands dirty when needed
  • Previous leadership experience supervising a warehouse team
  • Strong Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
  • Excellent inventory and stock control knowledge
  • A passion for process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Forklift Licence
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence
Experience with ERP systems and MPI Transitional Facility requirements would be advantageous but isn't essential.
