The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, working within a collaborative and client-focused practice.
You’ll manage a varied caseload across areas including:
- Family law matters and relationship disputes
- Employment law advice and disputes
- General civil litigation
- Contractual and commercial disputes
- Client advisory and representation
- Negotiation, mediation and dispute resolution
- Drafting legal correspondence, agreements and court documents
- Managing files from initial instruction through to resolution
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a capable Solicitor who can confidently manage a broad range of matters and provide practical, commercially minded advice to clients.
Ideally, you will have:
- Solid post-qualification experience within a New Zealand law firm
- Strong experience across Family, Employment and General Civil law
- Experience managing files independently from initial instruction through to completion
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
- Confident negotiation and advocacy skills
- Experience dealing directly with clients and providing clear, practical advice
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A practical, client-focused approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
- Confidence using legal practice management systems and general IT
- Full working rights in New Zealand
