Senior Civil Engineer
Our client is a well-established and growing consultancy firm with a strong presence across the Bay of Plenty.
 
The Role
As a Senior Civil, you will take responsibility for the technical quality and successful delivery of projects from initial investigation and concept design through to construction and final reporting.
 
  • Leading and overseeing civil engineering design for land development and subdivision projects.
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, calculations, reports and consent documentation.
  • Providing technical leadership, engineering advice and practical solutions to complex project challenges.
  • Delivering site-specific assessments relating to infrastructure, utilities and development.
  • Driving improvements in engineering design, processes, quality assurance and safety in design.
  • Technical Leadership mentoring, guiding and developing engineers while helping create a high-performing and accountable team.
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to the continued growth and
reputation of the business.
  • Analysis of technical works and providing accurate, quality feedback, ensuring the latest standards, codes and industry best practice are achieved.
  • Defining, planning and achieving programme and delivery goals, both individually and for the wider team.
  • Developing solutions to complex engineering problems through conceptual thinking and a collaborative, team-based approach.
 
What we are looking for
  • A relevant tertiary engineering qualification.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer – CPEng status or in process.
  • 3-Waters, land development and subdivision experience.
  • A proven background in civil infrastructure design and project delivery.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant engineering standards, regulations and consenting requirements.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage projects efficiently.  
  • The ability to lead, mentor and positively influence an engineering team.
