Our client is a well-established and growing consultancy firm with a strong presence across the Bay of Plenty.
The Role
As a Senior Civil, you will take responsibility for the technical quality and successful delivery of projects from initial investigation and concept design through to construction and final reporting.
- Leading and overseeing civil engineering design for land development and subdivision projects.
- Preparing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, calculations, reports and consent documentation.
- Providing technical leadership, engineering advice and practical solutions to complex project challenges.
- Delivering site-specific assessments relating to infrastructure, utilities and development.
- Driving improvements in engineering design, processes, quality assurance and safety in design.
- Technical Leadership mentoring, guiding and developing engineers while helping create a high-performing and accountable team.
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to the continued growth and
- Analysis of technical works and providing accurate, quality feedback, ensuring the latest standards, codes and industry best practice are achieved.
- Defining, planning and achieving programme and delivery goals, both individually and for the wider team.
- Developing solutions to complex engineering problems through conceptual thinking and a collaborative, team-based approach.
What we are looking for
- A relevant tertiary engineering qualification.
- Chartered Professional Engineer – CPEng status or in process.
- 3-Waters, land development and subdivision experience.
- A proven background in civil infrastructure design and project delivery.
- Sound knowledge of relevant engineering standards, regulations and consenting requirements.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage projects efficiently.
- The ability to lead, mentor and positively influence an engineering team.
