Our client is seeking a Retail Team Lead to lead a busy retail department. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader.
The Role
You will take responsibility for leading a high-performing retail team while creating a positive and welcoming experience for customers. Working closely with the wider management team, you will oversee daily departmental operations, support team performance and ensure customers receive knowledgeable, efficient and friendly service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing retail team
- Creating a positive customer experience and building lasting customer relationships
- Managing daily operations to ensure efficient workflows and service delivery
- Ensuring stock is available, accurately managed and ready for customers
- Overseeing customer orders and ensuring they are processed correctly and efficiently
- Monitoring departmental performance and achieving operational targets
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, organisation and workplace safety
About You
We are interested in hearing from experienced retail leaders who have worked within large-format, big-box or high-volume retail environments.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience leading a team within a busy retail environment
- The ability to motivate, coach and develop successful teams
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Experience managing stock, customer orders and daily workflows
- The ability to monitor performance and achieve departmental targets
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- A full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence
