Our client is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead a busy retail department of 75 personnel. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who has a strong personality.
The Role
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with one weekend day required.
As the Retail Manager, you will have 3 direct reports and up to 75 indirect reports.
Duties include:
- Take ownership of leading, motivating, and driving a high-performing retail team from the front
- Set the standard for exceptional customer service and ensure every customer interaction is handled professionally
- Maintain high merchandising standards, strong stock control, and a well-presented department always
- Drive daily and weekly operational execution to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively
- Take charge of rostering, recruitment, training, and performance management across the team
- Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and high performance

- Proven leadership experience within big box retail or other fast-paced customer-focused environments
- A confident and decisive leader who can manage people firmly while getting the best out of a team
- Strong experience driving team performance, operational efficiency, and daily store execution
- Customer-focused with high standards and a commitment to delivering results
- Resilient, proactive, and capable of maintaining composure in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, influence, and hold teams accountable
