Our client, a fabrication and maintenance business specialising in welding, structural repairs, plant maintenance, and conveyor systems, seeks a Maintenance Engineer
Duties Include
- Fabrication and welding of structural steel and plant equipment
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on industrial machinery
- Conveyor system repairs, modifications, and installations
- Structural repairs and equipment upgrades
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Fault finding and problem solving on plant and machinery
- On-site fitting, installation, and maintenance work
- Working safely and maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Liaising with customers and site personnel when required

What We're Looking For
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Turning, Fabrication, Welding, or similar
- Welding skills (TIG welding advantageous)
- Experience with conveyors, material handling systems, or plant equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
- Plant shutdown maintenance
- Structural steel fabrication and installation
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Food processing, manufacturing, quarry, timber, or heavy industrial environments
