Our client an established precision engineering business in Hamilton seeking an experienced CNC Machinist.
About the role
You’ll work across CNC turning and milling on a changing mix of custom components and repeat work. The workshop supports customers in food and dairy processing and packaging, among other industries, so there’s plenty of opportunity to put your machining skills to use. The workshop has CNC lathes and CNC mills with fourth-axis capability, alongside manual lathes and mills. Your work will include setting up machines and tooling, interpreting drawings, machining parts to specification and checking finished components. Depending on your skills and the job at hand, you’ll also have the chance to work on manual machines.
About you
You’ll bring:
- Proven CNC machining experience
- Confidence setting up jobs and working from engineering drawings
- A sound understanding of tolerances and quality checks
- A practical approach to problem-solving
