Our client is looking for an experienced machinist who likes tackling different jobs, solving practical problems.
This is a full-time, permanent role in an established Tauranga engineering workshop. You’ll move between CNC and manual machining, producing, modifying and repairing components for a range of customers. If you prefer changing work over running the same part all day, this could be a good fit.
About the role
You’ll set up and operate CNC mills and lathes including manual lathes and mills . Work from engineering drawings to produce parts within specification. The role calls for someone who can plan their work, check finished components and help keep the workshop running safely and efficiently.
About you
- A trade qualification in machining, fitting and turning, or a related discipline
- Experience with both CNC and manual machining
- The ability to read engineering drawings and work to required tolerances
- A practical approach to troubleshooting and a strong eye for quality
- Confidence working independently and alongside a small workshop team
