The Role
You’ll work alongside engineers, surveyors and project leads to deliver practical civil designs. Your work will include:
- Designing earthworks, roads, drainage and services for land development projects.
- Preparing engineering plans, drawings, calculations and specifications.
- Using Civil 3D and AutoCAD to develop and document designs.
- Supporting engineering reports, consent applications and contract documentation.
- Working with local authorities and other specialists to progress approvals.
- Providing design input and technical support during construction.
- A minimum of 3 years civil design experience, ideally on New Zealand land development projects.
- Working proficiency in Civil 3D and strong AutoCAD skills.
- Sound knowledge of New Zealand design standards and council requirements.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- The ability to manage your work, solve design challenges and communicate well with project teams and clients.
